On behalf of the staff and children, welcome to Katherines Primary Academy and Nursery.

We are a thriving Primary School in a small estate in Harlow; a school that staff, children, parents and myself are incredibly proud of.  Our children display excellent learning behaviours, showing resilience when facing new learning opportunities. Children actively build on prior knowledge and develop new skills, within a challenging curriculum.

As Head of School, since 2017, I, along with my dedicated team, ensure that children's well-being and voice are at the heart of what we do. We are extremely proud of our academic results, the school has remained above National since 2018.  We believe that every child’s learning and development is as individual as they. At Katherines Primary Academy children GROW in our care. Our vision, for each child, is that they will leave us as Global citizens, Resilient learners, Outstanding achievers and Well-rounded empowered individuals. Our Vision has been designed to ensure that we are shaping children's futures in the most positive way possible. We are confident that children who attend Katherines will leave their Primary phase equipped to face new challenges in the modern world, ready for their next stage of education in their respective secondary schools and beyond. 

We know that the first few years in your child's schooling are fundamental in establishing a positive attitude to learning and therefore successful in the wider world. Our Early Years (Nursery and Reception) department is a well resourced, high quality provision which sparks curiosity and engagement right from your child's first few moments in school.
