School Uniform Shop

You can buy all uniform, with the logo on, from Top Form in The Stow, Harlow.

Please note that some local supermarkets also stock school uniform in our specified colours.

Katherines now comprises of two different uniforms. A School Uniform and an Active Uniform. Please note your class teacher will inform you of what day each uniform is required.

School Uniform

Girls

White polo shirt/shirt with school motif or plain white polo shirt
Blue sweatshirt or cardigan with school motif
Plain grey skirt or plain grey trousers (not leggings/ jeans or skinny trousers)
In the summer girls may wear a blue and white check/gingham uniform dress
Grey, white, or black socks; neutral colour, black, grey, white or blue tights.
Black only shoes (either lace-up, Velcro, zip or buckle fastening)
In addition, children may wear a watch

Boys

White polo shirt/shirt with school motif or plain white polo shirt
Blue sweatshirt with school motif
Plain grey trousers
In the summer boys may wear plain grey tailored knee length shorts
Black socks
Black only shoes (either lace-up, Velcro, zip or buckle fastening)

Active Uniform

PE Kit

A House Colour T-Shirt (purchased from Top Form at a cost of £5.00)
Plain black (only) tracksuit bottoms - school logo optional
Plain black (only) hoodie - school logo optional
Plain black (only) Trainers
No earrings, tape cannot be used and earrings must be removed by the child

Your child will also need a school bag and a drinks bottle.

Use sew in or iron on name labels in EVERYTHING! 30 blue sweatshirts look the same and often pen becomes illegible or wears off after a few washes.

How much uniform to buy?

Many parents have asked for guidance on this. Questions to ask;

How messy are your children?
How often do you wash?

We’d recommend having at least;

3 polo shirts
2 pairs of trousers/skirts/dresses
2 sweatshirts/cardigans
PE kits – 2 sets (if PE days are consecutive)

Second Hand Uniform

At different points in the year Friends of Katherines and the Family Liason Officer will ensure that second hand uniform is available to buy from the school. This will, usually, happen during school events such as parents evening, fetes and end of half term periods. There may be further times that the school sells second hand uniform as the need arises. If you are struggling with the cost of uniform, please ask to speak to our Family Liason Officer who can provide help with uniform.

The school also welcomes good quality used uniform. If your child has out grown their uniform and you feel that this would do another a family a turn. Please send your used uniform to the school office, thank you.
